We work closely with the judicial system to help individuals, couples and families involved with the courts to remain safely in the community. Our services include education, intervention and treatment options delivered in community settings.

Adult Outpatient Recovery Services
Our outpatient programs for adults and families include individual, group and family therapy to address problems associated with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, anger management, grief and loss, and other mental health issues. Alternative in the Community
Our Alternative in the Community programs offer community-based intervention services for adults involved with the court or on probation. We assess the needs of each client and provide educational supports, substance abuse intervention, community service opportunities, job development and placement, and case management. Explore Program
This program provides domestic violence offenders with the information and skills they need to change their behaviors and learn to improve their current and future relationships. Family Violence Education Program
This program offers specialized intervention and education to adults arrested for the first time for family violence crimes. Each group cycle meets for nine weeks, with separate groups for males and females. |
Pre-Trial Alcohol Education Services
This program serves adults who are arrested for the first time for driving or boating while intoxicated. The program includes assessment and assignment to either a 10- or 15-week psychoeducational group experience. Pre-Trial Drug Education Program
The program serves adults who are charged for the first time with possession of drugs or drug paraphernalia. The program includes assessment and assignment to either a 10- or 15-week psychoeducational group experience. Transitional Case Management
Our case management services help men with substance abuse issues transition back to the community following a period of incarceration. We employ a strengths-based approach to coordinate housing, employment, education, medical services and insurance, and basic needs. Clients enrolled in this program also attend a weekly relapse prevention group. |

Family Support Center
This intervention program serves Family With Service Needs (FWSN) juveniles – young people who are truant, runaway, or otherwise out of his or her parents’ control. The program provides assessment, educational advocacy, parent support, crisis response, referral, case management and psychoeducational groups in a supportive environment. Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services (IICAPS)
IICAPS is a time-limited stabilization program for children and adolescents with serious emotional disorders. The program successfully engages all family members in the creation of a strong working partnership between the child, family, school and community. Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT)
MDFT is an evidence-based, family-driven drug abuse recovery program for adolescents and their families and is recognized as one of the most promising interventions for adolescent substance abuse. Our staff works with families in the home, school and community, examining all components of a teen’s life to promote positive, long-term change. |
Multidimensional Family Therapy Reentry and Family Treatment (RAFT)
This program assists youth, particularly those with a history of substance abuse, during their transition from a juvenile justice or residential facility to their home and community. The program treats the individual adolescent, caretakers and members of the family, and builds on the unique strengths, supports and systems in that young person’s life. Multisystemic Therapy (MST)
MST is a unique, goal-oriented, comprehensive treatment program designed to serve multi-problem youth in their home, school and community. MST is the only family-focused and community-based treatment program that has been the focus of several major research studies and demonstrated clinical effectiveness for youth with complex emotional, social and academic needs. Youth Equipped for Success (YES!)
The New Britain YES! program serves court-involved youth and addresses multiple risk factors to keep youth out of the court system. Youth referred to the program receive a comprehensive assessment and case management services, and have the opportunity to explore and address issues such as trauma, substance abuse and family conflict. They develop problem-solving and anger management skills and engage in vocational exploration and skill development. |

Domestic Violence, Consultation & Training
We provide general and case-specific consultations and training on domestic violence to community providers and Department of Children and Families professionals in Hartford, Manchester and New Britain. |
