Wheeler provides a full range of integrated primary and behavioral health care, as well as community education and mobile clinics, through its new Mobile Family Health & Wellness Center.

  • MARCH COVID VACCINE CLINICS
    • NEW! Walk-in COVID vaccine clinics for the public at all Wheeler Family Health & Wellness Centers below on Wednesdays in March from 1:00-3:00 PM (3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29). No appointment is necessary.
    • All locations will have the Pfizer adult booster (for ages 12 and up). The Family Health & Wellness Center in Hartford will also offer the Pfizer primary booster series for children aged 6 mo-4 years, and the Pfizer primary and booster for pediatric patients aged 5-11 years.

The Mobile Family Health & Wellness Center, equipped with a private exam room, reception area, and lift system, is licensed for care through the Connecticut Department of Public Health and in scope of Wheeler’s federally qualified health centers in Bristol, Hartford, New Britain, Plainville, and Waterbury. It has been in use for community education events since June 2022.

News from Wheeler's Mobile Family Health & Wellness Center

COVID-19 booster shot clinics will be offered to the public at Wheeler’s five Family Health & Wellness Centers on Wednesdays in March, as well as the Plainville Senior Center through Wheeler’s Mobile Family Health & Wellness Center, on March 20 and April 10.
The Community Health Center Association of Connecticut recommends a multi-step plan to keep your family safe during emergencies.
Two COVID-19 booster shot clinics will be offered to the public in Bristol on February 23, 2023. No appointment or referral is needed, and insurance cards and IDs are recommended.
Wheeler's new Mobile Family Health & Wellness Center is offering primary medical care and COVID vaccines for patients of the Root Center for Advanced Recovery in New Britain.
Tied for the most awards in the state, Wheeler received six out of eight Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) badges from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) following an annual Uniform Data System (UDS) review for 2021.
