Wheeler is hosting a virtual job fair on August 5, 2021, from 3 – 7 pm. The organization is hiring masters-level clinicians (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LMFTA, LPCA), as well as bachelor-level case managers for its in-home programs, with a focus on positions in Bridgeport, New Haven, and Waterbury.
Board of Trustees Chair Jim Moylan is no stranger to health care, or change. Retired from a 30-year career as the chief financial officer of hospitals across Connecticut, he has developed strong beliefs about how health care providers need to adapt to changing realities.
There continues to be a pressing need for foster families in Connecticut, and Wheeler is hosting three virtual informational sessions and a 10-week online and in-person (hybrid) course for individuals interested in fostering a child or youth.
Elected officials, community leaders, donors, funders, and friends gathered on July 6 for a ribbon-cutting and reception to celebrate the opening of Wheeler’s new, expanded community health center at 40 Hart Street, New Britain.
