Anthem-Insured Services at Wheeler

Wheeler offers three new programs for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield-insured adolescents and young adults at risk or diagnosed with an addiction or behavioral health challenges.


Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Services (IIBHS): an innovative, strengths-based, in-home program serving children, adolescents and young adults, ages 3-24, insured by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Connecticut. Serves members with acute psychiatric and/or co-occurring challenges who are at high risk or have a history of emergency department, inpatient and/or residential admissions. Referrals can be made 24 hours a day by calling Wheeler's IIBHS Referral Line at 475.222.6015.

Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery Services for Youth and Families: an array of addiction services is available to youth, ages 9 to 18, who are at-risk for or who have substance abuse issues and are insured by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Connecticut, as well as ConnectiCare, Harvard Pilgrim and United Health Care/Oxford (administered by United Behavioral Health operating under the brand Optum). Referrals can be made by calling Wheeler's Navigation Center at 860.793.3500.
