Hepatitis B Education Session at Wheeler Family Health & Wellness Center, 43 Woodland St, Hartford

The Wheeler Family Health & Wellness Center at 43 Woodland Street, Hartford, will offer a free Hepatitis B information and education session on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 4 p.m. (4th Floor Conference Room).

The program will be presented by Erica Buss, RN, Wheeler’s director of Quality and Infection Control, and will include an overview of Hepatitis B and risk factors; recommendations for who should be tested and where to go for testing; strategies for managing the infection; an overview of treatment options and approaches to prevention.

“This workshop provides tools and resources for individuals wishing to know more about their risk for Hepatitis B, or who have been diagnosed with this infection,” said Heidi Joseph, RN, MSN, vice president, Health Center Operations, Wheeler.

Light refreshments will be served, and a small gift is available for patients who complete the evaluation survey.

This event is part of a Focus Program grant, funded by Gilead Sciences, Inc. and awarded to Wheeler through the Connecticut Health Center Association of Connecticut.
