Connecticut Health Foundation Report Highlights the Value of Community Health Workers
The Connecticut Health Foundation today released a new report, “Understanding Community Health Workers: Who they are and why they matter for Connecticut,” which highlights the importance of community health workers in helping to improve health outcomes, reduce costs and reduce health disparities. Members of the communities they serve, community health workers serve as vital links between individuals, families and systems to improve access to culturally and socially appropriate health care and human services.
