Wheeler Early Childhood Team Contributes to CHDI Impact Report on Helping Young Children Exposed to Trauma

Wheeler’s Early Childhood team recently contributed to the Child Health and Development Institute of Connecticut (CHDI) June 2019 Impact Report, “Helping Young Children Exposed to Trauma: A Systems Approach to Implementing Trauma-Informed Care.”* Wheeler’s early childhood leadership, including Melissa Mendez, LCSW, IMH-E, director of Early Childhood Programs, Flora Murphy, LCSW, program manager of Early Childhood Services in Hartford, and Tracy Krasinski, LCSW, program manager of Child First, provided expertise and clinical insights related to early childhood development and trauma to support the development of the report and to demonstrate the work being done across Connecticut.
