Wheeler staff are working with patients to offer appropriate alternatives in order to support and meet their needs, including telehealth (click to learn more). Please contact your clinician or call our Navigation Center at 888.793.3500 to learn what options are available! Wheeler's Navigation Center is open Monday through Friday, 8AM to 6PM!


This page includes a list of behavioral health groups or related services that are on hold, or have changed, due to COVID-19. This list will be updated on an ongoing basis. If you are a Community Justice/Alternative in the Community (AIC) client, please scroll down for additional details related to your services.

If you have specific questions, or if you are unsure about whether your service or group is on hold, please call our Navigation Center at 860.793.3500. Wheeler's Navigation Center is open Monday through Friday, 8AM to 6PM.

THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS ARE ON HOLD INDEFINITELY UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED:

HARTFORD – 43 Woodland Street*

Some in-person groups are offered at this site, depending on needs, and services also are being delivered through telehealth. Check with your site and/or clinician for details on groups and services at this location.


NEW BRITAIN GROUPS – 40 Hart Street 
Some in-person groups are offered at this site, depending on needs, and services also are being delivered through telehealth. Check with your site and/or clinician for details on groups and services at this location.


BRISTOL GROUPS – 10 and 225 North Main Street(s) *
Some in-person groups are offered at this site, depending on needs, and services also are being delivered through telehealth. Check with your site and/or clinician for details on groups and services at this location.


WATERBURY GROUPS – 855 Lakewood Road, Waterbury
Some in-person groups are offered at this site, depending on needs, and services also are being delivered through telehealth. Check with your site and/or clinician for details on groups and services at this location.


PLAINVILLE GROUPS/PROGRAMS – 91 Northwest Drive

  • We are offering many on-site and virtual groups. Please contact us, or speak with your care team for additional information.
  • In-person intakes are offered for Children's Outpatient Programs (COP) and Adult Outpatient Programs (AOP). Our locations are safe and following all CDC guidelines. Please walk in for an intake between 9 am and 3:30 pm on Monday through Friday. You may also call our Navigation Center to schedule an intake or an appointment.
  • Extended Day Treatment (EDT): This program is conducted in-person, with virtual options as needed and appropriate. For additional information, call Wheeler’s Navigation Center at 860.793.3500 or toll-free 888.793.3500, and you will be redirected to the EDT program and staff.

 

PLAINVILLE – 334 Farmington Avenue

  • Connecticut Clearinghouse’s collection of resources and materials are available for pickup or shipment to your location. Please call the Clearinghouse at 800-232-4424, email info@ctclearinghouse.org, or visit www.ctclearinghouse.org to view and request materials. The Clearinghouse’s Change the Script mobile resource van is also available for resource dissemination in your community. Schedule the van at drugfreect.org or by calling the Clearinghouse.

MIDDLETOWN – 20 Tuttle Place

  • Extended Day Treatment (EDT): This program is conducted in-person, with virtual options as needed and appropriate. For additional information, call Wheeler’s Navigation Center at 860.793.3500 or toll-free 888.793.3500, and you will be redirected to the EDT program and staff.

COMMUNITY JUSTICE PROGRAMS

Individuals served by Wheeler Community Justice programs can find a list of COVID-19, basic needs, and employment-related resources here. (Scroll down on the page)

The following services are running either in the office or remotely via telehealth: Explore, Parenting Education, Family Violence Education, Pre-Trial Alcohol and Drug Education, and Alternative in the Community (AIC) programs. Our clients will be contacted directly regarding program options.
