Our Goal
Wheeler Clinic has over 20 years of experience providing emergency psychiatric treatment services through its Community Response Team, a mobile crisis unit. It is our goal to respond to urgent situations and emergencies, supporting clients with acute or prolonged psychiatric needs.

Program Services

• Resolution of the crisis in the home, or community
  
• Follow up services
  
• Preservation of a safe, nurturing and supportive environment
  
• Individual one-to-one support in clients’ homes, if circumstances warrant

Additional Information

• The Emergency Services team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year long.
  
• Most face-to-face evaluations occur within one hour.
  
• After an initial evaluation, the continuing care clinician, who works closely with the Mobile Crisis Team, may provide individual or group therapy for clients.
  
• The continuing care clinician may continue to counsel clients who have difficulty finding therapeutic supports elsewhere in the community.
