The "I'm A Wonderful Kid" program is an eight-week prevention program for pre-school children in Central Connecticut. By utilizing arts and crafts, reading, music and puppetry, children learn to make healthy life choices in a fun, supportive atmosphere.
Children learn about:
- Identifying feelings
- Solving problems
- Sharing with others
- Choosing healthy foods
- Avoiding alcohol, tobacco and other drugs
The program also offers the "I'm A Wonderful Parent" component which helps caregivers enhance their parenting and prevention education skills.
