Individual, group, couples, and family therapy to address problems associated with, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, eating disorders, pain management, anger management, grief and loss, chronic illness, trauma, and gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender services. Professional staff of psychiatrists, psychologists, marriage and family therapists and social workers.

- Program Description: Day or Evening Intensive Outpatient program consisting of 3 days per week, 4 hours per session for approximately 4 - 6 weeks. Program is designed for clients with a chemical dependency diagnosis in need of a higher level of care, but not an inpatient program. Group therapy, cognitive behavioral exercises, motivational enhancement therapy and family involvement.

- Program Description: Outpatient program offering a full continuum of services based on individual need. Services include: Crisis intervention, assessment, family therapy, financial counseling, case management, psychiatric evaluation and medication management.

- Program Description: Substance abuse treatment program for parenting/pregnant women. This program includes transportation within New Britain and childcare for pre-school aged children, intensive case management. Outpatient, intensive outpatient and partial hospital levels of care offered.

- Program Description: A community outreach, engagement and treatment program for Elderly people with substance abuse issues.

- Program Description: A curriculum-driven evidence-based model focused on reducing recidivism in offenders by risk assessments, targeting criminogenic needs, case management and interventions. Group interventions are provided in cognitive skills, substance abuse and employment skills. There is also a community service component.

- Program Description: An evidence-based intervention program for adult probation clients who are assessed as high risk to recidivate. Using manual-driven structured curricula and individual case management staff work with clients to reduce their risk to commit new crimes.

- Requirements: Undergraduate or Graduate Student in Criminal Justice, Counseling or related field.
- Duties: Student's duties may vary depending on student interest and program requirements. Duties may include: assisting staff with client intakes, administering and scoring assessment instruments, case presentation preparation, face-to-face client counseling, maintaining written case notes, group co-facilitation, participation in staff meetings and individual supervision.

- Program Description: The Prevention and Wellness Program provides a variety of psycho-educational groups and alternative activity programs for children from pre-school through college. In addition, workshops and trainings for parents and other adults may be included.

- Requirements: Bachelor's in Psychology, Social Work or Public Health, or Master's level in Counseling
- Duties: Students will have the opportunity to work with youth and/or adults in a variety of settings and will become familiar with prevention topics from alcohol, tobacco and other drugs to violence, multicultural issues and stress. They may attend workshops, conferences, assist in preparing for and running groups and will learn both prevention theory and practice.

- Program Description: Telephone counseling services, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to Central Connecticut, Greater Hartford, and surrounding towns. HelpLine staff offers information, referral and support to callers, and strives to prevent suicide through crisis intervention.

- Duties: Students will have the opportunity to perform crisis assessments, provide support over the telephone, and will accompany the Crisis Response Team on Community Outreach appointments.
