Frequently Asked Questions

1. What if I click on apply as an external applicant but nothing happens?

  • If you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer you may experience difficulty in applying. Be sure to turn off your pop-up blockers, as they may prevent the application form from opening.    

2. How many jobs can I apply for at the same time?

  •  You may have up to six active applications tied to your account at one time. 

3. If I submit an application, will I be automatically considered if a new position opens?

  • No. You must submit an application for every job you are interested in.

4. How long after I apply should I expect to be contacted by Wheeler Clinic?

  • Due to the volume of applications received, the review time will vary. Please allow at least two weeks before checking on the status of your application.

5. Whom should I address my cover letter to?

  • Include a customized cover letter for each position that you are applying for so you can fully highlight your unique qualifications for that job. You may address the cover letter with general salutation.

6. How do I turn off my pop-up blockers?

  • Please look for instructions on your browser about how to disable your pop-up blockers.

7. Where do I fax or email my resume?

  • We prefer that you apply for each position through our website. If you are having difficulty doing so, please contact our Job Opportunities line at 860.793.7288.

8. I set up my job search agent but have not received any emails yet. What does this mean? 

  • It may be that we have not posted any jobs meeting your criteria. Please make sure your email address is current on your account.

9. The status of my application says not hired. Should I apply again?  

  • You may apply again if you feel the information on your application has changed, or if you made an error.

10. I’m interested in a position, but I would like to ask some specific questions about the job. Where do I call?
