Education Services
Wheeler Clinic’s Education Services foster positive change in the lives of students and their families by cultivating academic success for students with complex special education needs. We can help meet the needs of students from kindergarten through age 21 with social, emotional, behavioral, cognitive or developmental challenges that influence academic progress. Our integrated service delivery system combines academic instruction with clinical support and interventions to encourage success in school.
Collaborative Learning Programs are cost-effective, in-district program models designed to help school districts provide programming for students with challenging special education needs. This model allows students to remain in the district and connected to their home school program, while addressing social, emotional, behavioral, developmental and/or educational needs.
DART is an integrated, multidisciplinary evaluation program for children between the ages of 3 and 20 with behavioral, cognitive, social, emotional and/or educational difficulties. Each evaluation is customized and provides an integrated overview of the child.
Diagnostic Placements are short-term, out-of-district school placements that assess the educational and clinical needs of school-age students and determine the least restrictive settings in which the student’s needs can be met.
