Thomas J. Matthews, MA, CPP, CEAP
EAP General Manager
Employee Assistance Program
Tom holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Iowa Wesleyan College, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Chapman College and is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Tom's responsibilities include consultation services, contract management and training. He also provides Critical Incident Stress Management services and has been awarded certificates from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation in Substance Abuse Crisis Reponse and Workplace and Industrial Applications. With extensive experience as a Security Consultant and Manager, Tom is also a Certified Protection Professional. Tom was formerly an Adjunct Faculty member at Post College, and an instructor in the Vernon Regional Adult Education Program. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Security Police Officer and as a Military Education Counselor, and is a past Director of the Connecticut Office of Veterans' Affairs.

Scott Serviss, Psy.D.
Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Scott is the Assistant Manager of Wheeler EAP, with broad authority to support all aspects of the operation and delivery of services. He provides coaching and consultation to managers and supervisors, workplace and wellness trainings, and psychotherapy services to make organizations more effective. Scott has been Adjunct Clinical Faculty at doctoral level and masters level graduate programs. He is a board member of the Society of Consulting Psychology, has been published in Consulting Psychology Journal: Research and Practice. Scott is certified in 360° Feedback Assessments and Development Planning through The Center for Creative Leadership. Scott received his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford and earned a certification in Organizational Consulting Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.

 

Raymond Hansen, M.A., LPC
EAP Consultant
Ray has over 25 years of experience in corporate and business management. He has a MA in Psychology and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Ray works in agency and private practice settings, treating substance abuse, general mental health issues, and marital problems. He also provides management training and executive coaching.

Kathleen J. Armata, LMFT
EAP Clinician
Kathleen has extensive experience in business and as a licensed therapist. She has provided direct counseling services to individuals, couples and families, and has designed prevention programs for parents, youths and adolescents. In addition, she has experience as a Senior Business Analyst, and as the manager of a major financial corporation Procedures and Training Unit.

Laura S. Minor, PA, CPP
EAP Training Manager
Laura is Training Manager of Wheeler EAP and Coordinator of the Wheeler Clinic Wellness Program. Laura holds a B.S. in Biology and is a Physician’s Assistant. She is a certified AIDS educator and Prevention Professional, and has over 16 years of training experience. Laura speaks to diverse audiences on topics including sexual harassment, stress management, multiculturalism, HIV/AIDS, conflict resolution, and smoking cessation

Laney S. Rosenzweig, M.S. - LMFT
EAP Clinician
Laney joined Wheeler EAP in 1994 after completing her internship at Wheeler Clinic. Laney is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist specializing in marital therapy, substance abuse issues and parenting problems.

Kenneth P. Bangs, Ph.D.
EAP Consultant
Ken holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. Ken is currently Coordinator, Student Training Program-Adult Services, and Senior Psychologist for the Department of Special Services at Wheeler Clinic. Ken has an extensive background working with children, adolescents and adults, couples and families, and group therapy in a wide variety of settings including residential, inpatient and outpatient settings.
