Wheeler Clinic’s Crisis Stabilization Program (CSP) provides short-term
residential placement for youth ages 11-17 who need immediate intervention
during an emotional or behavioral crisis. Youth in crisis are offered
a safe and secure place to stay while clinicians work with them and their
family to stabilize the situation.
Intense, solution-focused therapy helps families resolve problems, manage
intense feelings and learn healthier ways to relate to one another. Intervention
continues after the child returns home, and the family is strongly supported
as they begin to work out their issues independently.
The CSP works in partnership with Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Services
for Children and Adolescents (EMPS).
