Wheeler Clinic's Parent Education program, developed
in response to state law, is designed for parents with active cases in
the Family Division of the Connecticut court system. The primary goal
of this program is to educate separated/divorcing parents on the many
issues children face when the structure of the family changes. The Parenting
Education program covers topics such as the developmental stages of children,
adjusting to parental separation, cooperative parenting, parental conflict
resolution and dispute management, guidelines for visitation, and stress
reduction for children
