Wheeler Clinic's ARRC provides evidence-based risk-reduction intervention services
for adult and young adult probationers as they strive to make positive changes
in their lives. Participants work closely with case coordinators to create
individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each client, with the ultimate
goal of eliminating the likelihood of re-offending.
Core components of the program help the client make changes in his or her life that will lead to a better, more productive future. These components include:
- Identifying each client's criminogenic needs,or characteristics and circumstances which contribute to offending behavior, and the risk of re-offending/recidivism.
- Individualized assessment and planning
- Anger management
- Parenting and child development training and practice
- Problem solving, social skills and reasoning abilities
- Family support and involvement
- Discharge planning and aftercare
Participants are encouraged and supported throughout their time in the program, keeping in mind the ABC's of the ARRC - all clients are Capable of Becoming Accomplished.
